The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 每次看这种讲做搞笑艺人的就有种说不出的伤感啊！还好这部结尾的大笑加桑田佳佑的歌治愈了我。这种师徒情真的很难得啊，好几处师父对徒弟的付出就很感人，爱得太深沉了。果然人生良师益友是可贵啊。看字幕出现剧团一人还蛮惊喜的。当谐星的就是要无时无刻搞笑。还想说北野武真的学过踢踏舞啊，突然又意识到座头市里不就放了踢踏舞，看来是真的有认真练过噢。
浅草时期的北野武，导演很谨慎提炼了师生情启蒙的故事。不知道有没有人跟我的期待一样，北野武的履历大可必走严肃路线。当年《坏孩子的天空》里就隐约可以看出北野武对于自己成长的态度。非要煽情，最后一幕的长镜头足够了。
知道北野武是漫才出生还是从小丸子动画里，一直想学跳踢踏舞，有梦想的人都好闪耀啊…老师真好与其说是北野武的自传感觉更像在感谢老师。柳乐优弥可塑性还是那么高，大泉洋赞，儿时女神林木保奈美依然美丽动人～
失敗是失敗者的墓誌銘，成功是成功者的里程碑！
北野武的人生真是神奇，喜欢他的毒舌，喜欢他直抒胸臆，读过小酒馆，喜欢这位独特的老头儿，今年想再多读读他的书，有意思有个性，网飞干了大事儿，把这拍成电影！师父爱才惜才，阿武才能成就自己，阿武重情重意，飞黄腾达也不忘师父的教诲，回到浅草，陪着师父吃酒说笑。退学、短剧、漫才，到后面的成为导演和演员，阿武一直记得师父的那句话，我大爱真实的北野武！

“像我这种与过去人生一刀两断的人，怎么可以得过且过？”看哭了😭 北野老师的人生太滚烫了😭 这或许就是不怕流氓会打架就怕流氓有文化吧😭 这部电影改编自北野老师的自传，影片重点表现了他对师傅深见千三郎的思念。影帝跟大泉洋的表演都很到位，只不过这个片子的戏剧化结构注定了它就只能是一部流水线“主题乐园”。
本来以为看完《犬之力》再看这个可以缓解一下，结果更难受了。柳乐优弥演北野武 神形俱佳，影帝的演技我是一贯都欣赏的。
很平庸，毕竟这是滚烫的人生。差不多是从在后台跳踢踏舞才算有感觉。大泉洋比柳乐优弥好太多，柳乐优弥表演痕迹太重，太执着于北野武的招牌动作。好看的是真实的人生。
北野武上辈子是积了多大的德遇到了这么好的师傅！！！
最近看北野武的传记电影《浅草小子》，让我再次回想起那首经典的同名曲。“相信着总有一天会成名，在只有两人的曲艺场中。”当年初看词中意，竟而不知曲中情。
是因为netflix投资的关系吗，片子长得像一个好莱坞片，不像部日本电影
冰冷的生活，总有那么一些人是温热的。师父有麻里陪伴是幸运的，武拜了深见为师也是幸运的。得奖后在小酒馆里的那一段好欣慰，有徒弟递梗接梗酣畅淋漓地说了一段再死去，是不是遗憾少了那么一丢丢。
泪目了，人总是想和过去一刀两断，哪有那么简单，那些真实的回忆和情感断不了的。
要逗别人笑，而不是被别人嘲笑。剧末，武对着师傅的遗像，半调侃半吐槽的那番话，让人落泪。
创新与潮流。《火花》是现实主义，这个接近成功传记。老年妆乍看还挺像，正面就有点怪异了。好喜欢大泉洋555铃木保奈美还是很美，门胁麦怎么越长越像小松菜奈了…
