The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 另外三位南非“革命先驱”在片中形象真的一点都不高大全。男主卡尔文有哮喘，也不像是特别聪明的人。但当你看到他们为了那个在当时根本不可能达成的目标而拼上一切时，又深深的使人动容……
虽然是基于真实事件，但剧情起码有一半是编的（不懂司法部女儿这个角色的存在是为啥，略煽情做作）。不过历史上Silverton trio的确点燃了释放曼德拉的星星之火。为自由而战的故事永远让人动容。
真实历史事件改编，虽然不太懂南非历史、种族隔离制度、为了争取自由平等所做的牺牲，但是电影本身渐入佳境，高潮处戛然而止，还是有一定冲击力，不过也有不少问题铺垫不足。
自由的代价是非常昂贵的，除了需要得到绝大多数人的支持，而且还需要革命者牺牲。
喜欢的点“有摩擦才会前进”“试着去了解和理解”，但还是理想化了。

现在看四十年前的人们好有礼节，反抗的如此温文尔雅。片中的美国黑人已经思想解放敢想敢干了。认准的路就要一直走下去，不要奢求对手仁慈。

今井翼的演技越来越好了，最后被分手难过演得很好；
曼德拉是南非黑人的英雄，不是南非的英雄。
蛮现实的，人人都说“不歧视LGBT”，实际上很多是“与我无关”的不在乎，一但身边存在一部分还是会下意识回避或改变与其相处方式；甚至自己也会小心“划分”朋友中哪个是可以说可以接受的一个。
