The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 如果在议员选举时把黑心产业链曝光就是爽剧级别，但结果是自甘被驯化，倒也算赤裸裸的现实。
生命充满了伤痛也充满了美好，这是能量守恒定律。一个人是活在阳光中还是活在阴暗中取决于你面向阳光还是面向阴暗。简单的说是多米诺骨牌的第一块，往北倒还是往南倒，开头决定结尾。
非常平庸，雷声大雨点小，从南北问题掰扯到教育体制和中产固化，底层失语，每个都轻描淡写贴一块标签，导演最终的落脚点彷佛是需要给理想主义的数学求知埋下种子和伏笔，但也是紧急刹车式操作。
