The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 都比较老套的都市传说，不当“正餐”，当“点心”看还可以。
越看越失望，没有几个，除了魂游带有本土恐怖元素，其他的倒也没有“首尔”特色，这就有些挂羊头卖狗肉之嫌。

我还挺喜欢都市怪谈的，不过这一部感觉没有之前出的怪奇宅好看
为什么那么多段落，概念都还不错，但有些有因无果；有些有果无因；有些人物行为不合逻辑；各种浪费桥段的感觉，去掉一半，好好讲四五个故事不更好吗？
摄影比较考究，整部影片除了第一部分比较出彩外，后面的节奏慢的我直想抠脚趾。
第一次看柬埔寨电影，电影节奏很慢，导演留白太多了，甚至以为是个纪录片，好几次都想二倍速下。朋友的离开，父亲的病，拆迁，梦想，其实想说的有很多，但感觉男主角的视角表达的有点浅。几个印象很深的场景：男主角的梦，在酒吧迷幻的灯光，导演拍的挺好的。

一般般吧，没什么好看的感觉，表达的东西很少，有贾樟柯的壳子没有贾樟柯的内外，对于电影来说太过平淡了，但是槽点也不是太多，中规中矩的一部文艺片吗？
哎呀，每个短篇都是帅哥美女。现在鬼片对颜值都要求都这么高了吗？
懦弱的父辈和无法摆脱的噩梦，病房里的一幕让我想起高中时父亲做手术的场景，男孩迷茫的面庞和面对未知的恐惧我感同身受。男孩的世界——舞蹈，远行的朋友，调笑的女孩，乌黑发霉的屋顶和滴落在不锈钢水盆中的雨滴——摇摇欲坠的世界终于崩塌了，而男孩无力承受、也不被要求承受任何。“我很害怕，”男孩被噩梦惊醒，走向他的父亲，然后穿过他，继续走下去。
总共十个小故事，一般般吧，也没啥看头，不过是每个故事做了点留白，做了点让人想象的空间，没有说的那么直白。一般。
作为处女作已经很成熟了。很多情绪都通过意象准确的传递，节奏刚刚好。父亲糖尿病坏疽截肢那一段印象最为深刻。曾经的高大上被快速的城市化和现代审美所取代，白楼和那一代人，就像父亲的坏疽，注定要被截肢，遗弃。
年轻导演处女作，就当了解一下柬埔寨的生活和文化了
很常见的现实题材艺术片手法，没有出彩的地方也没有明显缺陷，作为年轻导演拍得是可以的。
