The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 动起来的绘本，因为设想对象是孩子，剧情略显无趣
比较喜欢《外婆的蓝色轮椅》和《翼娃子》两个，温情满满，可以看到导演对家庭 童年深深的情怀。
画风特别童风的反而让我觉得并没有儿童视角，可能是我长大了。
比较适合小朋友去看的电影，手绘动画其实在当今的国内电影市场上还是挺难得的，尤其这部短片集还集合了多种动画制作方式，可以看到现在年轻动画导演们的功力。几部短片剧本的水平还是比较参差的，有的很有感触，有的就只适合小朋友，边上的大哥在后半场已经鼾声大作了，映后说最喜欢的部分时小朋友的选择和成年人完全不同，倒也算是全家欢的另一个维度吧，大家可以各取所需。
很妙，离童年很近，离童年很远，才看第一个故事就很想回家。
也算是制片方送给孩子们的新年礼物了，这才是真正适合开启2022年全新一年的电影。形式比较特别，所以显得会比较另类。但国产动画总是要多元的，每一种尝试都应该被鼓励。很值得尊敬的一帮创作者，每一个小片子都有温度又有态度。
最喜欢外婆的铁皮轮椅的画风
超出预期的观影体验，最喜欢的就是影片中的真实感，虽然是动画电影，但是《向着明亮那方》带给我的感受却远远超过了“动画”的含义。在一种更广泛的层面上给我来了个“会心一击”。以后谁再说中国没有好动画，我就把这个片子甩他脸上。
不被故事、戏剧结构等等一系列繁文缛节的东西所束缚，最后呈现出的就是这样一部精品！我觉得把这部动画电影称为平凡生活的礼赞，简直不要太合适！没想到这都2022年了，我还能在电影院里被一个国产的动画片感动的稀里哗啦的。
“向着明亮那方/向着明亮那方/哪怕一片叶子/也要向着日光撒下的方向。”译者以向着明亮那方作为诗集的题目是有着深意的，金子美玲的诗美的不真实却又比现实更真实，始终有着明亮的色彩，然而金子美玲却有着难以想象的悲惨的命运，这些诗却没有一丝怨恨的痕迹，或许正因为身处于黑暗，所以始终向往着光明。
国内首部原创绘本电影，非常值得肯定和鼓励，是了不起的。真实的生活、散文般的语言，和自然流露的情感，让七个故事都充满温情。个人最喜欢、也是最感动的是《外婆的蓝色铁皮轮椅柜》，我很想念我一生劬劳的姥姥，时至今日她在我心里的形象也是那样单纯而美好。(眼泪在流了…)
排片实在太少，到青岛来特意抽时间去看了。
温暖又感人，可以触碰到你心里最柔软的地方。
非常优秀的作品，每个故事完成度都很好，编剧尤其出色，很久没看到编剧如此出色的国产动画了，唯一的缺憾是第六个小故事旁白太文青，太多余，画面就能表现的其实不需要这么多文字再来画蛇添足，可惜没啥排片，也没啥票房
没有刻意的去煽情 骗眼泪 普通人的生活很平凡也很温馨 难得这部动画电影里的普通人终于不再被妖魔化了 强烈安利！

排片量少得可怜，有限的场次都排在工作日，且不约而同在饭点。在假期即将来临之际总算赶上了本市的最后一个场次。整个慈溪该不会就我一个人在看这么温暖的片子吧。
以新颖的绘本形式，讲述最温暖的普通人的生活。
由七个不同画风的小故事组成，温馨治愈，和孩子看得津津有味。特别是第三个和汶川地震有关的故事更是让人感动不已。就是小地方的排片太少了，好不容易才找到适合的场次去看，希望这样的优秀电影能让多点人看到。
